Mitch Engle, MD

Dr. Mitchell Engle is a founding partner of the Institute of Precision Pain Medicine in Corpus Christi, Texas. He completed the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, earning both an M.D. and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology. Dr. Engle then completed an Anesthesiology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in Pain Medicine at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. After fellowship training, Dr. Engle joined the faculty at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he practiced for five years, including two years as Fellowship Program Director. He currently serves as President-Elect of the Texas Pain Society, chairs its Value Assessment Committee, and represents both the Texas Pain Society and the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists on the Texas Prescription Monitoring Program Advisory Committee. His clinical practice focuses on minimally invasive, evidence-based therapies for chronic pain, alongside a continued commitment to advancing clinical pain research.
